These Terms govern your use of the Embiez website and your relationship with Embiez when you commission a garment with us. By using the website or placing a commission, you agree to these Terms.

1. About us

Embiez is a bespoke ceremony tailoring atelier based in Bucharest, Romania. The website is informational; commissions are placed in person at our Primaverii Quarter Showroom by private appointment, or remotely with a written agreement.

2. Appointments

An appointment request through this website is a request to meet, not an order. A commission is created only when you and a member of the atelier confirm in writing the garment, the cloth, the measurements, the price, and the timeline.

3. Commissions

Each Embiez garment is bespoke and made to your measure. Once cloth is cut and the first fitting is set, the commission cannot be cancelled. Adjustments to fit are included in the price, up to and including the final fitting.

4. Pricing & payment

Prices are agreed in writing before the commission begins. A non-refundable deposit is taken at the first fitting; the balance is payable on or before the final fitting. Prices are in EUR or RON and include VAT where applicable.

5. Lead time & delivery

Lead times for each silhouette are stated on the relevant garment page. They are estimates based on a normal commission load and do not constitute a binding deadline. Where a fixed wedding or event date applies, it is to be agreed in writing at the first fitting.

6. Right of withdrawal

Under Romanian law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised (Art. 16(c) of EU Directive 2011/83 and OUG 34/2014, Art. 16). Bespoke garments are therefore non-returnable. Manufacturing defects are addressed through repair or replacement at no charge.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this website — text, photographs, films, designs, and the Embiez name and logo — is owned by Embiez or used with permission. You may not reproduce or distribute it without written consent.

8. Liability

We will do everything reasonable to honour the standards described on this site. Embiez's liability for any claim arising from the commission is limited to the price paid for the garment in question, except where Romanian law provides otherwise.

9. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by Romanian law. Any dispute will be resolved by the competent courts in Bucharest, without prejudice to your statutory rights as a consumer.
