This Privacy Policy explains how Embiez ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses personal data when you visit our website or commission a garment with us. We are based in Bucharest, Romania, and we operate in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Romanian Law no. 190/2018.

1. Who we are

Embiez is a bespoke ceremony tailoring atelier based in Bucharest. Our showroom is located in the Primaverii quarter, and all garments are commissioned by private appointment.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to your enquiry and to deliver the service you have asked for. This includes:

Name, email, phone — when you submit an appointment request.
Preferred date and notes — when you tell us when and for whom you want the appointment.
Body measurements and fit notes — taken in person at the atelier, kept on file for the duration of the commission.
Technical data — anonymous browsing data such as IP address, browser, and visited pages, collected through cookies (see our Cookie Policy).

3. Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry and arrange a fitting.
To execute the commission (drafting, fitting, delivery).
To keep client records as required by Romanian fiscal and commercial law.
To improve the website (anonymous analytics, only with your consent).

4. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of (a) your consent, (b) the contract between you and Embiez when a commission is placed, (c) our legitimate interest in running the atelier, and (d) our legal obligations under Romanian fiscal law.

5. Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share data only with service providers we strictly need — our hosting provider, our email service, and Romanian fiscal authorities where required by law.

6. Retention

Appointment requests are kept for up to 24 months from the last contact unless a commission is placed. Commission records (measurements, invoices) are kept for the period required by Romanian law (typically 10 years for fiscal documents).

7. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, write to info@embiez.ro. If you believe we have not addressed your concern, you may file a complaint with the Romanian Data Protection Authority (ANSPDCP) at dataprotection.ro.

8. Children

The Embiez website is intended for adult clients commissioning ceremony tailoring. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

9. Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent version.
