The Story
The first gown of the line.
The Sirène opened the Embiez ceremony line. We wanted a first dress that asked very little of the room — a column, a slow line, a hem that found the floor and stayed there.
The name comes from the rocks below the western Riviera, where a long stone slips into the sea and the late afternoon sun turns the water motionless. There is nothing dramatic about it. It is simply a place where the light is still, and you remember it.
The cloth is a heavy Italian silk satin, twenty-eight momme. We cut it on the bias from a single length, weighted the train, and finished every seam by hand in the Bucharest atelier. Four fittings. No corsetry.
It is meant for a quiet entrance.
